Facts about Cows

Do you know that cows lay down to give birth to their baby calves. The  calf pops out and tries to stand up. The little calves go to their mother’s udder and drinks milk. In the shed the cows gets hungry.

Some cows are greedy and wants to be first to get the milk. As the calves  grow older they nibble on grass and not  drink milk. They feed less milk and when they grow older they eat little grass and they also drink water.

The farmers pick the best female calves. The farmers keep the really best female milking cows are called heifers.
